The purpose of a mask and of masking is to transform, not to disguise. The transformation affects both the wearer of the mask and the beholder of the mask.

Masks have been part of civilization for thousands of years and hopefully will remain in civilizations of the future. Each mask in this section has a face mold custom made for it before the glass is worked.
